Northeast Iowa – Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) will be holding their 11th Annual Golden Silo Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, April 1, from 12:00-1:30 p.m. in the Kinze Innovation Center, Williamsburg, IA. Each year, SSNHA celebrates the best in heritage development by presenting Golden Silo Awards to individuals and organizations whose contributions demonstrate outstanding excellence in preserving and telling America’s agricultural story.
“The story of American agriculture in the Heritage Area is constantly evolving. For the eleventh year in a row, we’re very excited to honor those who excel in sharing the agricultural experience with visitors,” commented Don Short, SSNHA President.
Make a day of the event with a tour of the Kinze Innovation Center or a Guided Plant tour. Trace the history of Kinze Manufacturing from its beginnings, and discover the fascinating breakthrough innovations produced by founder/inventor Jon Kinzenbaw. During the 1-mile guided walking plant tour, discover first-hand the sophisticated operation of designing and building solutions for farmers.
