Event Description

Join us for our annual Classics Concert series at Montauk Historic Site. The January concert will kick off the first of three winter musical concerts, held in the beautiful Parlor Room at the historic Montauk Home.

The concerts last around 30-40 minutes, followed by refreshments, and a chance to visit with the musicians. Concerts are free and open to the public.

We are excited to announce that our first performer of the season will be harpest Liesl Schutte. Leisl began harp lessons when she was 7 years old.  She took lessons at Luther College with Eleanor Niemisto who lived in Northfield, MN and gave lessons at the college twice a month.  Leisl continued these lessons until she graduated from Valley Community High School.  At Coe College, Leisl continued harp lessons with Gretchen Wilson and played in the Coe College Orchestra.  She continues to perform at benefits, churches, community and holiday events, nursing homes, and weddings.  Her favorite venue is Montauk in Clermont.  Since she was in elementary school, Leisl played for the Montauk Christmas Tea almost every year, the Clermont Historical Society Benefit, with Otter Dreaming at the Union Sunday School, and had her senior recital at Montauk.  She is most pleased for the opportunity to perform at this beautiful site again.
