Event Description

Over the course of thirty years, Fred Burton created thousands of unique, elaborately embellished letters, postcards and envelopes. This exhibition presents the entire collection accompanied by additional paintings and prints. Examples of Gerberich’s own whimsical kinetic assemblages are also included.

Burton i a professor emeritus of painting and drawing at Memphis College of Art. He continues to produce and exhibit work in Memphis, Tennessee. Gerberich, a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, is an Iowa native who maintains a studio in Newburgh, New York.
