Event Description

The National 19th Amendment Society will be hosting their annual Prairie Day Camp on Wednesday, August 2nd from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children entering grades 1-6. The camp will be held at Carrie Lane Chapman Catt Girlhood Home. The camp will also include a prairie walk by a Floyd County Naturalist and each participant will make an assortment of crafts that pertain to Carrie’s life growing up and the prairie. Lunch is included in Prairie Day Camp as it will be served replicating the foods eaten during the time Carrie grew up. Participants will also get to take part in an assortment of games!
The cost of the camp is $15/child or $10/child if they are the child or the grandchild of a member of the National 19th Amendment Society. Registration can be picked up at Carrie Lane Chapman Catt Girlhood home at 2379 Timber Avenue, Charles City. Or can be e-mailed out upon request. Checks can be made out to the National 19th Amendment Society. Space for the camp is limited and the registration deadline is July 25.
