Contest Details - Entries for the Capture the Heart of America 2009 Photo Contest must be taken within the 37 county Heritage Area.
- Submissions must be postmarked no later than September 18, 2009.
- Participants may submit a maximum of three entries per category.
- Photo Categories include (see guidelines for description): Events/Festivals, Farm Life, Heritage Area Sites, Images of the Past (pre 1950s) and Scenic
- New this year, voting for "Best of Show" will be open to the public Oct 12-18.
Awards- Awards will be presented in each category for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, with "Best of Show" receiving $250 cash.
- Winning photos may be featured in the Silos & Smokestacks Visitor Guide and/or website.
