Silos & Smokestacks General Grants help fund agricultural related interpretive projects in the Heritage Area including exhibit development, educational programs, interpretive signage, marketing, and event programming. In an effort to expand the modern agricultural story in the Heritage Area, greater consideration will be given to projects and programming that incorporate interpretation of the modern ag story. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, local/regional governments or federally recognized Indian tribes with projects located within the Heritage Area. Applicants need not be a designated SSNHA Partner Sites or located within the Heritage Area, however, the grant project work must benefit the Heritage Area directly. Grant awards range from $1,000 to $10,000.
