Step back in time at the Mathias Ham House. See the oldest structure in Iowa, the 1830s Arriandeau cabin, as well as in the one-room schoolhouse, an 1840s granary, a lead smelter and miner's "badger hole" living quarters. Learn about the progression of civilization from the first breaking of sod and digging of mines, to shipping corn and lead via steamboats.
