The Froelich village includes an 1866 restored rural school, 1890 restored blacksmith shop, 1891 general store museum and 1892 working replica of the first tractor. John Froelich invented the first gasoline powered tractor, which propelled backward and forward. This was the forerunner of the John Deere tractor.
Hours:
Memorial Day thru Labor Day weekend, Tues-Thurs 11-5; Sept 1-Sept 30, weekends only, 11-5. Admission:
$3 adults or donation.
Admission souvenir buttons are $5.00 for all events and both days activities ($4.00 if purchased before Sep. 25).
Long Description
Froelich Fall der All is the fall celebration at Froelich, birthplace of the modern farm tractor. Fall der All features machinery displays, demonstrations (blacksmith, print press, woodcarving, apple press), exhibits, Kiddie Tractor Pull (ages 4-11) on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Antique and mini tractor pulll on Sunday at 11 a.m. Music including barn dance on Saturday (Little Dale & The Legends)5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Raffle drawing on Sunday at 3 p.m. Lunch stand open both days.
