Silos & Smokestacks to Hold Exhibit Plan Workshop

Waterloo, Iowa—Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) is holding a day-long workshop, How to Develop an Exhibit Plan, on July 25, 2006, in Waterloo, Iowa, at the Grout Museum.

Workshop participants will gain hands on experience for developing a solid exhibit plan. To be well prepared for this full day of productivity, attendees will have read Eight Steps for Effective Exhibits, and have filled out the Exhibit Planning Sheet prior to that morning. “If the organization and their representative is ready for this day,” stated Sue Pridemore, course instructor and National Park Service Partnership Coordinator, “they will leave with a successful strategy.”

Registration is limited to 30 participants and must be received by July 18, 2006. The workshop costs $30 per person affiliated with a designated SSNHA site, and $40 per person for all other participants. This fee includes lunch, refreshments and materials.

For more information about this workshop and how to register, visit www.silosandsmokestacks.org.
