    Silos & Smokestacks Welcomes New Marketing & Communication Manager

    Northeast Iowa – Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) welcomes Jori Wade-Booth as its new Marketing & Communication Manager.

    “Jori brings immense experience, enthusiasm and talent to the Heritage Area team with more than 15 years of public relations, communication and development experience,” says Candy Streed, SSNHA Program & Partnership Director.

    Formerly, Wade-Booth served as Public Affairs Coordinator for University of Northern Iowa Museums where she was responsible for planning and executing media relations, public programming and promoting featured exhibits. Most recently, she served as Director of Development for Self-Help International, a Waverly-based non-profit.

    A native of Newton, Iowa, Wade-Booth graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in English and a minor in creative writing.

    SSNHA is one of 49 federally designated heritage areas in the nation and is Affiliated Area of the National Park Service. The Heritage Area covers 37 counties in the northeast quadrant of Iowa. Interstate 80 borders it on the south and Interstate 35 borders it on the west. Through a network of sites, programs and events, SSNHA interprets farm life, agribusiness, and rural communities-past and present.
