why you should vote for national toy farm museum

The National Farm Toy Museum would be honored to be considered for the 2015 People’s Choice “Site of the Year” for its role in promoting the story of agriculture to its thousands of visitors. The Museum’s mission is to preserve and promote the rich history of agriculture through farm toys, and to conserve the history of farm toy manufacturing past and present. Remaining relevant and vital to the betterment of a small community, the county, and the state are the goals to which the Museum strives. The Museum provides local economic stimulus by bringing an estimated 20,000 people to town each year through the annual farm toy shows, the Summer Farm Toy Show, and Toy Farmer’s National Farm Toy Show.

In 2015, the National Farm Toy Museum is excited to unveil its newest manufacturers showcase “New Heights: Fordson to New Holland.” This display is a rotating favorite at the Museum, offering to educate and entertain all generations about the history of the Ford and New Holland equipment companies. Farm toy collectors and visiting tourists will have a positive experience viewing a new exhibit dedicated to a topic with broad appeal that engages the viewer. The NFTM sees the exhibit as a way to fulfill the museum’s mission of preserving farm toy history by using multiple interpretive methods that detail the story regarding the models on display. The exhibit allows the museum to blend model precision with the company history to illustrate the changing needs in agriculture.
