The JCHS Heritage Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibits and interactive displays show how the land, people, transportation and businesses, including agriculture, evolved to create today’s Johnson County community. With over 5,000 square feet of gallery space, our exhibits include A Home on The Farm; Changes in Farm Life in the Mid-20th Century, the Community Stories Project showcasing the communities of Johnson County as told by its residents, Read All About It; Spreading the News in Johnson County, and a 1,000 square foot space interactive children’s exhibit focusing on settlement and life in Johnson County. The JCHS is also home to over 13,000 Johnson County related artifacts.
