Event Description
The subject of the next Jasper County Museum Brown Bag & Lunch & Learn will be “Preserving the Iowa Farm Story” presented by the Grout Museum. The Iowa Voices Project was developed in collaboration with Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area and has been collecting and preserving the stories of Iowa farm families for nearly three years. The presentation will include examples of Jasper and Poweshiek oral farmer histories as well as “behind the scenes” information on the goals, procedures and development of the project. Pack a lunch and join us at noon, Wednesday May 11th. The presentation will be approximately one hour.
