Event Description
Join Fermentation on Wheels for a potluck, talk, and culture exchange at Three Pines Farm, June 18th from 6 to 9pm. Bring some of your own fermented dishes or cultures (kombucha SCOBYs, sourdough starter, kefir grains, yogurt, etc.) to share and swap with other fermenters. This potluck is open to everyone from interested beginners to expert fermenters. We also encourage complementary non-fermented dishes.
Tara Whitsitt will talk about her traveling education project, Fermentation on Wheels. She will also brief the audience on fermentation, especially the differences between wild fermentation and fermentation through inoculation, using a starter culture. Her talk will be followed by a starter culture swap on the bus.
All our events are free and open to the public, however, if you would like to take home a starter culture, we ask you please bring something to swap or $10 per starter culture.
