Come enjoy archaeology themed activities, learn about Native American games, demos, and children’s activities with the Office of the State Archaeologist on the Pentacrest lawn. Step inside to tour the laboratories of the Museum of Natural History and the UI Department of Anthropology, and learn about North American prehistoric pottery, flint knapping research, Paleolithic research in Namibia, Neolithic research in Portugal, excavation of several mammoths from central Iowa, and more.
