Event Description

(Eastern Iowa) The Iowa Wine Trail, a non-profit educational organization representing nine eastern Iowa wineries, is pleased to announce a one-day Poker Run Event on the Iowa Wine Trail slated for Saturday, April 27 from 10a to 7pm.

What’s a Poker Run?  It’s a fun, all-day event on the Iowa Wine Trail where ticket holders receive a poker card at each winery visited, then at the last stop of the day the players drop off their hand. The top hand dropped off at each winery will win a $25 gift certificate from that winery. Anything a pair and above is a scoreable hand so even two stops could produce a winning hand but the more wineries visited the better the odds of winning.

What to Expect at Each Winery?  At each stop ticket holders will receive their poker card, and enjoy 5 free samples and snack on delicious hor d’oeuvres.  Plus, ticket holders who make any day-of purchases will receive a chip/token good for future discount purchase from any of the nine Iowa Wine Trail wineries.

Wild Card: As ‘players’ you’ll want to plan your card collecting strategy carefully, for example, Brick Arch, Farm House and Winneshiek Wildberry Winery will offer ‘Wild Card’ chances.  Also to make it more fun plan on dressing up in wild west or casino outfits and look for picture opportunities at the wineries.  Then Tag @iowawinetrail on Instagram public posts the day of the event, the picture with the most likes will receive 4 free tickets for the fall event.

TICKETS ON SALE:  Tickets are on sale now at any of the 9 Iowa Wine Trail member wineries, and also can be purchased online at bit.ly/IWTPokerRun . Enter code IWTPR19AC to save $25 on 4 tickets!
