Event Description
Join the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History for a lecture by Dr. Stan Temple about the Migratory Bird Treaty, recounting the first century of migratory bird protection and speculate about the future. Following the lecture, there will be a discussion and Q&A with Dr. Temple and Joe Price, facilitated by Charity Nebbe, about their work in the 1970s to bring back raptor populations in the post-DDT era. Afterwards meet Dr. Temple and Joe at the post-lecture discussion while enjoying the amazing avian collection in the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History.
