Event Description
If you are interested in history, have educational experience, and are looking for a social opportunity, then being a tour guide at Brucemore is the perfect volunteer activity for you.
Key Responsibilities of a Brucemore Tour Guide:
- Lead 45 minute guided tours of the mansion, including all three floors and the basement during weekday and weekend tour hours (March – December)
- Perform as a stationary guide for evening and weekend events in the mansion (occasional, as needed)
- Answer questions about the grounds, gardens, and organization
- Assist with directions to the Visitor Center and parking
During this event, you will meet Brucemore staff, be given a study binder, and learn about the training process. Depending on how much time you have for studying, training can take one to two months. But don’t worry – it is very flexible and can be adapted to fit your schedule.
The best part? You get to shadow tours and meet other certified tour guides.
