Event Description

“Night at the Inn”
Saturday, August 10th, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Motor Mill Historic Site

Mark your calendars for Motor Mill’s “Night at the Inn” event Saturday, August 10th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. We have activities for everyone and are excited to provide this fun evening for guests to bring their families to enjoy this beautiful site!

The duo Kismet Rendezvous, based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, will provide live music during the event. They play Blues and Americana type music and will be playing inside our most recently renovated building on site, the Stable, for its first public debut.

The Collective from Elkader, Iowa will be providing local artists who will be displaying and demonstrating their talents through plein air painting for you to observe. Guests can also participate in mini art classes for all ages. Booths will include Sand Art, Painting, Build-A-Mill, Make a Windsock, and more.

Wine tasting will be another fun addition provided by two local wineries. Brickyard Wines based in Clermont, Iowa and Jennings Winery based in Garber, Iowa. Each have many varieties for you to try while listening to the music and enjoying the art. Food will also be available provided by students fundraising for their Ag in Ireland trip with many yummy choices for guests to choose from.

So, bring your lawn chairs, blankets, friends & family and enjoy a relaxing “Night at the Inn”. In case of rain, activities will be held in the Inn. We are very excited to hold this new event and look forward to seeing everyone there for a fun, relaxing evening surrounded by the majestic Motor Mill Historic Site.
