Event Description
The University of Iowa Theatre Troupe will perform No Fish in the House at Brucemore on Sunday, July 7 at 5:00 p.m. Led by legendary dramatist Tony Bologna, No Fish in the House is a mad-capped comedy in the Italian tradition of the commedia dell’arte. The comedy features four professional actors who play a variety of roles while wearing leather masks in the traditional commedia dell’arte style. Originally written for a young audience, the play is filled with slapstick humor and impromptu operations. The actors perform onstage and in aisles, making the show an interactive adventure for the whole family.
The hour-long show will be free to the public. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Patrons may bring a picnic and beverages on site. Pets are not allowed. Parking is available on the grounds. For further information, visit www.brucemore.org or call (319) 362-7375.
