Sally Boie, Hawkeye, Iowa will present a concert Sunday June 30, 2013 at the historic 1863 Union Sunday School, Clermont, Iowa. Her concert, featuring the 1896 Kimball tubular pneumatic tubular organ, will begin at 2:30 p.m.  The theme of the concert is ‘Music Around the World’.  The concert will also feature vocalists Ruth Schlatter, Bonnie Loomis and narrator/soloist Glen Boie

Ms. Boie has been a church organist for over 50 years, also accompanying choirs, instrumental and vocal solos. She entertains with the WIT (Winnebago Itasca Travelers), Singers and Frustrated Maestros at FMCA rallies. Sally graduated from Wartburg in Education and Music, plus an M.A. from Viterbo.

Ruth Schlatter lives on a farm near Hawkeye with husband Allan. For many years, Ruth has sung for concerts, weddings, funerals, and provided special music for worship services. She also often entertains with Sally at nursing homes and many community events in other communities.

Bonnie Loomis and husband Erv live in Greene, Iowa. Bonnie says her singing abilities are a gift from God, as she never had a lesson. Bonnie did Gospel concerts for many years, opening for many ‘name’ groups. She has directed choirs, sung and entertained at many civic events, and countless nursing homes. She also has appeared with Sally Boie many times.

Glen sings in the church choir and with the WIT (Winnebago Itasca Travelers) Singers and Frustrated Maestros chorus at the FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association) Rallies.  He entertained with Sally at the Iowa Winnie Hawks State Meeting.

All concerts are free, followed by a free tea at the Clermont Opera House, just one block from the concert site, where audience members can meet and visit with the musicians.
