September 24, 2013
Originally from Italy, photographer
and designer Antonio Scontrino
came to the Cedar Valley in 2011
to accept a teaching position at
the University of Northern Iowa.
Scontrino quickly embraced our
community and was impressed by
the passionate, dedicated and
diverse group of businesspeople
working to transform downtown
Waterloo. Scontrino was inspired
to present this series of portraits
depicting individuals operating
businesses along 4th Street
