Event Description

Laura Ingalls Wilder has captured the hearts and imaginations of generations of young girls with her “Little House” books. We would like to invite Brownies and Junior Scouts to discover more about Laura at our Little Red Schoolhouse, where they will earn and receive the Pioneer Days (Laura Ingalls Wilder) badge. Find out more about the life and times of Laura Ingalls Wilder, learn some basic sewing stitches and make a simple doll, dig through some old recipe books, play old-fashioned school-yard games, write a letter to a friend, and much more. A tasty pioneer treat will be served during the event. To help set the mood, girls are encouraged to wear “pioneer” or “old-fashioned” clothes!

Please note: Due to space constraints, pre-registration is required for ALL participants. Cost is $10/child (includes badge) and $2/adult.
