Event Description
Dubuque Co. Master Gardeners are kicking off the season with a brand new take on their annual Spring Garden Seminar. The Seminar now features three focused tracks on Home Landscapes, Fruit and Vegetable Gardening, and Wildlife Gardens where garden enthusiasts can mix and match sessions for a diversified experience in multiple gardening approaches.
Keynote speaker Cynthia Haynes, Iowa State University Department of Horticulture, Assistant Professor will be sharing her expertise on sustainable gardening and new perennials for 2015.
Guest speakers from Iowa State University and the Tri-State area will offer sessions on topics including turf grass management, edible landscaping, organic gardening, composting, pruning, insect/pest management, native plants, and butterfly gardens.
The Spring Garden Seminar will take place on March 7th at the NICC Town Clock Center for Business, 680 Main Street, Dubuque. Check-in registration begins at 7:30am and sessions take place until 1:30pm. Seating is limited so pre-registration is recommended.
Pre-Registration fee is $30 and includes light lunch and door prizes.
