Event Description
In a succession of squabbles, this hilarious play pits a father-in-law against a mother-in-law on the other side. A successful writer of advertising jingles, Jerry Sloan is married to Alice, an equally successful lawyer. Alice’s curmudgeon of a father, Abe, lives with the happily married couple. Abe is a funny guy to the audience but not to son-in-law Jerry. The tensions increase when Jerry’s mother, Mildred, loses her house in a fire and needs a place to stay. Abe and Mildred’s distaste for each other turns the play into one hilarious confrontation after another with a heart warming finale in which the oldsters discover that one is never beyond gaining a new perspective. Come laugh with us through the gold mine of this family’s fits and starts.
Friday and Saturdays are evening shows at 7:30 pm; Sundays are matinees at 2 pm.
