UI Museum of Natural History’s Movies@MNH series continues with “Ice Age Death Trap” Mar. 3

Event Details

March 3, 2013

Event Description

The University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums’ Museum of Natural History will continue the spring Movies@MNH series at 2 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 3 with the free, public screening of “Ice Age Death Trap” in Macbride Auditorium.

In a race against developers in the Rocky Mountains, paleontologists uncover a unique fossil site packed with astonishingly well-preserved bones of mammoths, mastodons, saber tooth cats, giant ground sloths, and other giant extinct beasts. The discovery opens a highly focused window on the vanished world of the Ice Age in North America. This film is not rated and it runs 60 minutes.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. For more information on the UI Pentacrest Museums and the UI Museum of Natural History, visit http://www.uiowa.edu/mnh or call (319) 335-0606.
