Event Description
Ushers Ferry is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year during the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival on Saturday, July 1, from 1-5 p.m. Many of our old friends will be at the party including Hawk A Model A Club, Iowa Brass Band, Hole in the Sock Gang, and Red Cedar Regulators. Join us as we share our favorite memories and create some new ones with Old West performances, music, games, a bounce house, historic crafts and skill demonstrations, a pie auction, and more! Admission is $5 per person (ages 5 and under free).
Old West performances by the “Hole in the Sock Gang” are at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. The pie auction will start at 3 p.m., and the Iowa Brass Band will play from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The saloon will be open with cold root beer and sarsaparilla for sale. Food may be purchased on the grounds courtesy of Johnson Avenue Hy-Vee, and Bass Farms will be selling local ice cream.
