Day 1

11:00

Begin your tour in Baldwin at Tabor Home Vineyards & Winery, Iowa’s
oldest estate winery. Tabor Home, located on a 1860s family farmstead in
Jackson County, is renowned for producing distinguished wines that are
defining the regional identity for Eastern Iowa wines. Wine festivals, Sunday
Music in the Vineyards, demonstration vineyards and winemaker tours offer
unique experiences and inform visitors about Iowa’s exciting wine industry.

Lunch

Pack a picnic and enjoy lunch at a park along the way to Bankston.

3:00

Visit Park Farm Winery in Bankston. Combining European architecture and
Iowa family values, Park Farm Winery is a chateau style winery
conceptualized, built, owned and operated by the Cushman family. Hidden
in the hills west of Dubuque, a large back deck allows visitors to view the
valley while enjoying locally grown wine.

Dinner

Along the way, dine at one of the many small town cafes, and don’t forget
the pie!

7:00

Spend the evening relaxing around the fire at Farm House B&B, tasting Farm
House wines and browsing the gift shop featuring many antiques, then stay
the night at Farm House B&B, a Victorian-era B&B which offers guests a
relaxing stay.

DAY 2

9:00

Begin the day at the Farm House B&B by enjoying a full-course farmer’s
breakfast made with locally grown products, milking cows, feeding baby
calves, gathering eggs, fishing in the farm pond, walking, running or biking
on the adjoining 5-mile nature trail, and viewing the vineyard.

Lunch

Stop at one of Waterloo or Cedar Falls’ many fine restaurants on the way to
Iowa Falls.

1:00

Travel south to the Eagle City Winery in Iowa Falls located in the heart of
the Iowa River Greenbelt. Take a walk around this picturesque vineyard and
winery and sample award-winning wines in the quaint tasting room. Eagle
City Winery also features a large cork collection, party room and gift shop.

5:00

Conclude your tour by venturing to Sugar Grove Vineyards and Gathering
Place in Newton. In this 1870s rejuvenated grange hall, framed by rolling
hills, vineyard, pond and elk, visitors may learn the history of the Grange
Movement and social significance of the local club. Iowa wines, art and food
products are featured. Tasting Room hours are by appointment only.
