The Jackson County Insane Asylum, once known as the County Poor Farm, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and also has an Iowa Great Places Designation. The Insane Asylum is located north of Andrew on 250th Ave. Adjacent to the Insane Asylum are five acres of crop ground farmed by the Horse and Harness Association.
