Vesterheim Norwegian – American Museum

This national treasure tells the story of American immigration through the lens of the Norwegian-American experience. Vesterheim’s world-class exhibitions and Heritage Park include farm homes, a black-smith shop, a mill, a Norwegian storehouse (stabbur), and more. The Painter-Bernatz Mill, built in 1851 on its current location, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Each year, the Folk Art School offers diverse classes in Scandinavian folk art.
