Event Description
June 22nd, join SSE and David Buchanan, author of “Taste, Memory: Forgotten Foods, Lost Flavors, and Why They Matter,” for the launch of the 2013 Dinner and Lecture Series.
David Buchanan will discuss the hidden strengths of forgotten garden vegetables and why we need to preserve them. His lecture is titled “Who will care for the misfits?” Participants leave with a full belly and new perspectives in thinking about plant diversity and enhancing garden habitats. Even if you’re new to gardening, this talk will certainly provide food for thought.
The full-course meal will be prepared by the Pepperfield Project and will be served in Diane’s Garden next to the Lillian Goldman Visitors Center at Heritage Farm.
