Event Description
March 4 is National Day of Unplugging from electronic devices. The day has been around for over a decade and encourages people to put down their technology down for a day.
Join in the fun of unplugging by taking a hike through Jakway woodland. The candles will lead the way on the self guided trail. Take in the beauty of winter at night by trying to listen to owls, see animal tracks and feel the cool winter air. After the hike come take a walk through a house built in 1851 and get a feel of what life would be like without modern conveniences. A campfire will also be going in case you need to warm up for a bit in between the activities. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and the house will close at 8 p.m. Donations are appreciated for the cost of the candles!
