The Ice House Museum of the Cedar Falls Historical Society shares the unique stories of the ice harvesting industry and the Cedar River. Lift an ice block, turn a turbine gear, and test out period recipes as you learn about the river’s resources–from ice for preserving food to mill power for grinding flour to cool water for summer recreation.
