Northeast Iowa – Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) is
hosting a free grant information session on Tuesday, March 4, from 1:00 to 3:00
p.m. at the Hurstville Interpretive Center, 18670 63rd Street, Maquoketa.
SSNHA offers three grant programs to help the region tell and preserve
their stories of American Agriculture. General Grants help fund agricultural

Area with the transportation costs associated with field study trips; and Internship
Grants provides college students with internship opportunities at designated
SSNHA sites.
All potential grant applicants are encouraged to attend this informational
session to learn about the SSNHA Grant Programs. Attendees will learn the
purpose and requirements of each program, as well as how to make a successful
proposal.
No registration or cost is required to attend this event. Grant applications
available under the Grant section at www.silosandsmokestacks.org.
