Centered around the story of Clinton, Iowa’s rich lumber history, the museum features dynamic exhibits and programs that explore the history of America’s sawmill, lumber and forestry industries. Clinton’s roots as a lumber capital are intertwined with its roots in agriculture, as both played a role in the formation of Clinton and the West during the late 19th century. With wood-working equipment, history exhibits, a water table, and an interactive lumberjack camp, the museum is fun for all ages.
