DUBUQUE, Iowa – The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is celebrating its 30th annual Mad Scientist Party & Trick-or-Treat event at its Mississippi River Discovery Center on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by American Trust & Savings Bank.
Live animal programs, trick-or-treating, science experiments, face painting, and craft activities will engage children 12-years-old and younger and their families. Costumes are encouraged, snacks and beverages are available for purchase, and the event is completely wheel chair and stroller accessible.
The event costs $5 per person ages three and older and $4 for members. Regular Museum & Aquarium admission charges do not apply. Tickets can be purchased online at rivermuseum.com/events or at the door.
Students from the Western Dubuque High School Environmental Club, staff and students from Clarke University, and staff and students from the University of Dubuque will be assisting in at the event.
