Motor Mill Historic Site
Motor Mill’s first art show, sponsored by the Motor Mill Foundation, will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, Sept. 30th! The show will take place at the Motor Mill site, along the Turkey River, southeast of Elkader. The purpose is to showcase photography and art of Motor Mill, new and old, professional and amateur. Other than the mill itself, Motor Mill-inspired art can include natural settings of the Turkey River, bluffs, wildlife and plants near the historic site. Artwork does not have to be your own work, either.
Participants are invited to display their pieces as well as enjoy refreshments and paint on the day of the show. If one wants to bring several pieces to display or sell, 50% of them need to be directly themed to Motor Mill. Participants are responsible for bringing their own displaying material for outside. If there’s rain, space will be available on the 3rd floor of the mill.
