Rensselaer Russell House Museum Open for Summer
Waterloo, IA – The Rensselaer Russell House Museum will be open Saturdays, June 16-August 25, from 1-4 PM.
Nestled in the heart of northeast Iowa is a small jewel of American mid-Victorian architecture. Completed in 1861, this lovely brick structure is one of the oldest homes in Black Hawk County. Tours allow visitors to step into an authentic Victorian interior, including original family belongings and wander through picturesque Victorian gardens.
Visitors can purchase tickets at the Bluedorn Science Imaginarium front desk. Admission is $5 for adults and children 4-13. Multi-Museum Explore Passes are also available, rates start at $8 for Children and $13 for adults. Museum members and children 3 and under are always free. Because the GMD is a Blue Star Museum, active duty military and up to 5 immediate family members are also free this summer.
