Silver Celebration at the Bluedorn Science Imaginarium

Waterloo, IA – The Bluedorn Science Imaginarium, 322 Washington Street, is celebrating 25 Years of Inspiring Minds! Beginning in July, the GMD will kick off 25 Days of Science with the Silver Celebration. Featured activities will take place throughout the month on the main level of the Imaginarium and exhibitions that coincide with these activities from the last 25 years will also be on display.


Two temporary, on loan, exhibitions will be on display throughout the summer months as well; “Nano” and “Augmented Reality Sandbox” provided by Mike Hoffman of the Cedar Valley Makers Space.


Activity Schedule:

  • July 3, 5-7: Silver Celebration: Digging Dinos, Bluedorn Science Imaginarium
  • July 10-14: Silver Celebration: Ancient Engineering, Bluedorn Science Imaginarium
  • July 17-20: Silver Celebration: The Wright Brothers, Bluedorn Science Imaginarium
  • July 24-28: Silver Celebration: Shocking Science, Bluedorn Science Imaginarium
  • July 31-August 4: Silver Celebration: Video Game Physics, Bluedorn Science Imaginarium


These activities are included with regular admission: Bluedorn Science Imaginarium: $5 for adults, $5 for children 4-13. Children 3 and under and Grout Museum Members are free at all locations.
