LaPorte City FFA Historical and Ag Museum consists of two sites: a Main Street location with over 4,000 square feet of ever-changing exhibits and our Rural Iowa Heritage Center which features a circa 1870 fire station and jail-house, an 1861 log cabin, and a pioneer garden. We pride ourselves in creative and innovative exhibits that explore not only the past but the present and the future.
Our theme for 2025 is Electricity – Get Charged. A look at how electricity has impacted our lives. See how life was in rural Iowa before electricity, and examine the marvels that came about once it was available to all.
