This 880-acre complex just northwest of Cedar Rapids includes the Wickiup Hill Learning Center, which features educational displays highlighting our natural resources and the area’s Native American and archeological past, including exhibits that depict the beginning of gardening and farming in Iowa. Visitors are encouraged to explore over five miles of trails which include prairies, savannas, wetlands and woodlands. The latest addition is Wickiup’s Wandering Woods, a nature playscape for all ages to create, engage and build with nature.
