Event Description
Join the Seed Savers Exchange community for the 34th Annual Conference and Campout, July 18-20. Connect with other gardeners, seed savers, and lovers of diversity and interact with national leaders in these fields.
This incredible weekend is filled with dozens of workshops on topics relating to gardening, seed saving, homesteading, cooking and preserving, and more.
This year’s keynote speakers include Bryan Welch, the publisher of Mother Earth News and other Ogden Publications, who will talk about the importance of seed saving in the back-to-the-land movement; Cornell University geneticist Susan McCouch will discuss changing agriculture systems in response to global warming; Virginia Nazarea from the University of Georgia will speak about the importance of preserving stories along with seeds; and Andrew Still and Sarah Kleeger of Adaptive Seeds in Sweet Home, Oregon will talk about seed stewardship and their work with the Seed Ambassador Project.
