Dialog Human
The drawings of Priscilla Steele
& Thomas C. Jackson
April 12 – June 29, 2014
Both Priscilla Steele and Thomas Jackson have been drawing the human form since the late 60’s. Since 2008, they have been drawing together in a group setting twice a week. This practice has led to bodies of work that are united in their source and disparate in their execution and sensibilities. The differences between them heighten an awareness of the qualities in both bodies of work triggering a visual exchange – a dialog that probes basic reasons for making the figure central to drawing and painting.
