Event Description
The Effigy Mounds Winter Film Festival is celebrating its 54th anniversary beginning Saturday, January 7th, 2016. The free film festival has been in existence since January of 1963 and through the years there has been great support from the community. Great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, and children have visited the monument and attended the films. The films are shown on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm. There will also be a 1:00pm showing on Mondays.
Jan. 7-9 Climbing Redwood Giants – Learn more about these massive trees and explore the hidden environment of the redwood forest canopy 300’ from the ground.
