Event Description

Come enjoy this family fun weekend as you “step back in time” while viewing old-time demonstrations on both days. This includes 7 museum site buildings from the 1890s: the General Store & Post Office, Freight warehouse, 1866 One-Room School, Blacksmith shop, Railroad Depot, Cowell Semi Transportation Building, and 1903 Vintage Barn. A lineup of old-time tractors, hit & miss engines, many vendors, and many kids’ activities are on hand to enjoy both days. Saturday 9:30 am starts with the tractor ride & ATV ride returning at 12:30 pm. Lunch of Pork loin sandwiches, turkey-dressing sandwiches, sides, and homemade pie. No fee for admission. View two replicas of the gasoline-powered Froelich Tractor invented here in 1892 by John Froelich that could propel itself both forward & backward, becoming the forerunner to John Deere Tractors. Sunday starts with a pancake-sausage breakfast served in the Barn from 8am-1pm, followed by the Kid’s Pedal Pull, the Threshing Demo both days, and get your tickets for the Big Raffle Drawing held Sunday at 3pm. Need not be present to win. Old-time demonstrations include: blacksmithing, wool spinning, cider press, mini-steam engine & baler, rope-making, many old hit & miss engines, sawmill,  ice cream maker, wood carving, and so much more.
