Event Description
Come celebrate National Ag Day with our fun, expanded event for the whole family! Visit our 1875 Town to stop in the General Store and take a look at the machinery at the Implement Dealer. Help make butter with a butter churn at the Tangen Home. Then head outside to the Tangen carriage shed for a livestock demonstration. Get up close to a modern John Deere planter and compare it to a modest tractor from the last century. Take a ride in the cab of our John Deere tractor (ages 3+) and meet the Iowa Honey Queen.
Our many partners will have fun activities at their booths in our Visitor Center including learning about pollinators, making a collage, planting seeds to take home, and creating future farm equipment, to name a few. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6.50 for kids. Discounts available for tickets purchased in advance and for members. www.LHF.org/AgDay
