Event Description
Oakhill Jackson is one of the oldest intact neighborhoods in Cedar Rapids. The Oak Hill area in southeast Cedar Rapids has a rich heritage. Sites related to local African-American, Syrian, and Bohemian history are highlighted on this tour, as well as the history of Jane Boyd and Tyler School. This tour is a collaboration between the History center and the African American Museum of Iowa. Tours are $5 for members of the History Center and African American Museum of Iowa and $7 for the general public.
