Event Description
In partnership with KCRG, the Science Center is pleased to announce its inaugural Severe Weather Preparedness Day, Saturday June 14th. This will be a fun and informative morning starting with live broadcasts from KCRG at the Science Center.
- Fun, hands on weather activities for younger children from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
- KCRG Severe Weather Preparedness class from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for ages 12 to adults.
- Photo opportunities with KCRG weather team from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
- Youngsters (grades 1-6) will have the opportunity to create their very own Severe Weather kits. Registration is required as there will be a limited number of kits.
- Fifty Disaster Preparedness Home Organizers will be given away during the morning.
Kits and Organizers sponsored by M.E. Levsen Farmers Insurance Group, Hiawatha.
This is a free event for all ages but registration is required for some classes. See description for details.
