Event Details
Event Description
The Moon will be in the western sky above brilliant Venus and the bright star Regulus in the constellation Leo (the Lion) and below Saturn and the bright star Spica in the constellation Virgo (the Maiden). Scorpius (the Scorpion) with its bright star Antares and its neighboring constellation Sagittarius (the Archer), will be at their highest point and easiest to observe for the year. High overhead will be two fascinating constellations: Corona Borealis (the Northern Crown) and Hercules (the Strongman). Hercules harbors two globular clusters of hundreds of thousands of stars.
