Event Description

The Student Oceans Conference is an intensive two-day watershed workshop hosted by the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium’s [NMRMA] Conservation and Education Departments. The conference offers hands-on learning, real-world applications, and collaboration with peers and professionals in environmental science, agriculture, and conservation.

By the end of the Student Oceans Conferences, students will expand their knowledge and appreciation of watersheds, engage with Dubuque County experts, participate in interactive workshops, and gain practical skills for protecting water resources and promoting sustainable agricultural and conservation practices in their own communities. Join the NMRMA and our many conservation partners in having fun while learning how you and your students can be part of the solution to improving the health of our nation’s waters.

Each school can bring up to 10 students. Maximum 50 participants.

A detailed agenda will be available in August. Transportation to off-site locations on Thursday’s field day will be provided by the River Museum.
